A new wave of HIV/AIDS is sweeping through five of the
world's most populated countries - NIGERIA. ETHIOPIA, RUSSIA, INDIA and
CHINA. According to the CIA, by 2010 these five countries will
experience a surge of 50-75 million new
HIV/AIDS cases.

Children Orphaned by AIDS Around the World

Orphans Problem is
So far, the AIDS epidemic has left behind 14 million orphans. 79% of the
AIDS orphans live in Africa. By 1997, the proportion of children with one or
both parents dead had skyrocketed to 7% in many African countries and in
some countries reached an astounding 11%.
